The Jay Peak Area encompasses the towns and   villages of Jay, Troy, North Troy, Montgomery Village, Montgomery Center, Westfield, and Lowell.

  The area offers an eclectic choice of fine accommodations, with Inns, Bed Breakfasts, Lodges, Hotels, Condo, Chalet, Townhouse, Cabin rentals.

We offer some of the finest restaurants in Vermont. Whether you like home-styled meals or the culinary delights of international chefs, you will find them at one of the restaurants in the Jay Peak area.

biking Meander from village to village on both sides of Jay Peak mountains. Our country roads also span both sides of our international border. By auto, motorcycle or bicycle, these roadways will bring you to the heart of what this area is all about - laid back, pristine region as beautiful as can be found in Vermont.

Shopping in the area is a great way to spend an afternoon. There are several old-fashioned general stores and country stores. They offer a variety of items from groceries, to Vermont specialty food products, to art work. Often, they have deli or lunch counters where you can sit and visit with the locals. Antique shops and craft shops dot the countryside. From hand-made quilts to hand-carved wood sculptures, from photographs and paintings to Queen Anne style furniture, to ski and snowboard equipment, these shops will keep you entertained for hours!


The available outdoor activities in the area are as diverse as the Northern Vermont scenes - from spectacular valleys to the highest peak in the Northeast Kingdom.

Activities available hiking include mountain biking, road biking, camping, canoeing, hunting, horseback riding, hayrides, sleigh rides, boating, hiking, golfing, nature walks, bird watching, star-gazing, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ice-fishing, snowshoeing, shopping and antiquing...and the list goes on.
Driving tours encompass a variety places to visit including museums, theaters, and historic sites.

Covered Bridge There are covered bridges all within an easy drive of each other, with 7 located in Montgomery and Montgomery Center alone.

Jay Peak Resort offers scenic tram rides to the top of the mountain on Vermont's only aerial tramway. The scenes are breathtaking! You can see four states, the province of Quebec, and on very clear days, you can see as far as Montreal to the north and Mt. Washington to the southeast. The view of the autumn colors from the top of this majestic peak are truly inspiring. ... and needless to say, Jay Peak offers the best skiing in the east with the most natural snowfall.
